A Serious Charge, One Verified Booking: What Nassau’s Record Says
A November 2 sheriff booking lists an aggravated-battery-with-a-deadly-weapon charge. The record does not establish guilt or explain where the alleged incident happened.

The sheriff’s current-custody page identifies a November 2 booking and one listed charge. It does not provide an incident account, a location for the alleged offense, or a court finding. A charge is an allegation, not a conviction.
The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office booking record names Darrell Lamar Roberts, 57, and lists booking number 2026-00002868. It says he was booked at 2:41 a.m. on November 2, 2026, with booking origin “Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.” The listed charge is “AGG BATTERY W DEADLY WEAP,” and the listed offense time is 11:22 p.m. on November 1. The record displayed “Awaiting Trial” when checked November 2, 2026 at 11:50 AM Eastern.
That is the extent of the verified allegation in the record we reviewed. We have not independently reviewed a charging document or court docket, obtained Roberts’s response, confirmed the alleged incident location, or established whether anyone was injured. The booking record does not show a court date. We will update this brief if records or a response become available.
Why this page may change
The sheriff describes its inmate inquiry as a current-custody search. It excludes people released from jail. If the link later stops returning the booking, that alone does not establish dismissal, conviction, or another outcome.
